Scope of Work:
The main objective of this work is to gain a better understanding of the different sources of nonlinearities and the importance of each effect on the dynamic behavior of a Spar Platform in deep water through a time domain analysis, as well as comparing with experimentally available data. Specific objectives are:
- Validation of model with experimental data (Basin test OTRC)
- Parametric
- Different kinds of waves (Monochromatic, Bichromatic and Irregular
- Geometry of spar (Large Spar and Small Spar)
- Current
- Modeling of mooring lines (cables and springs)
- Evaluation of some nonlinear effects
- Drag Term
- Evaluation of forces in displaced position
